We're kicking off our 10 days of Christmas with a family ornament making activity. These ten days are all about taking time away from the hustle and bustle of the season to spend time together as a family. These 10 days will be filled with activity ideas to engage with your little ones and I hope you enjoy them! Let's get started!

We used air dry clay, but you can also make dough ornaments with ingredients you probably have at home!
To make Salt dough:
Combine
1 c flour
1/2 c salt
1/4 c warm water (add more if the dough is too dry)
Jazz it up by adding peppermint essential oil or your favorite holiday scent.
Also try this Cinnamon Ginger Dough:
3.5 c flour
1 c salt
1/2 c cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger
1.5 c warm water

With whatever dough you choose, roll it out and use your Christmas cookie cutters to punch out shapes. You can also do a footprint or handprint!
Next, use a straw (toothpick, end of paintbrush, etc.) to poke a hole to hang ornaments.
I then baked it in the oven on its LOWEST SETTING until it was dry. Have patience and resist the urge to bake it at 350 :).

Once dry, have fun painting it as a family! Throw in some glitter for added fun!
